What are some of your most profound moments in workshops?

Whenever a teacher is surprised that one of the "worst behaved" students contributed amazing & respectful things during the workshop. Just goes to show how valuable the space is!

What are some funny workshop anecdotes?

It's been so long I genuinely can't remember any! Literally in my head it's just a background buzz of fun energy ^_^

What is the most important thing you think others should know about us?

How much freedom GLI gives facilitators and students to have the conversations they feel are important about gender & sexuality. The workshop syllabus is a framework that allows us to home in on the issues students are interested in.

How has volunteering with us changed you?

Volunteering with GLI has equipped me so many skills around allyship, both within gender-based activism and more broadly. As someone who sits on the intersection of several privileges, it's super helpful for me to practice having honest, unashamed conversations with other people of privilege about our complicity in oppressive systems. A very valuable skill in our world!
